With a steel frame a low supporting wall onto which the cabinets and workstation from bulthaup were fixed and sliding glass doors the new kitchen is a truly awesome setting that is both cheerful and functional. The old kitchen inside the home was transformed into a light-filled foyer that now leads the way to the kitchen even as the double-glazed glass walls help in temperature control.
The front pavilion with its large glass doors opens up completely towards this majestic courtyard and even the kitchen and dining space seem constantly connected with the natural heaven outside.
The choice of the finishing material for the front-façade was determined largely by the aesthetics of the home its specific requirements and of course the tiny budget on which Mork Ulnes Architects had to pull off the impressive overhaul.
